The Ohio Preservation Council, with support from the State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce “The Codex: History, Art, and Practice.” This is a full day symposium in celebration of the Codex, highlighting the history and art of bookbinding with panel discussions, concurrent talks, and hands-on learning.

She is a bench trained conservator and author of Books Will Speak Plain: A handbook for Identifying and Describing Historical Bindings. She studies and teaches historical book binding structures.
Following the keynote panelists James Reid-Cunningham, Bonnie Mak and Macy Chadwick will discuss the idea of a post-codex period in our current era. Break-out sessions will occur after lunch.
