OCLC Research offers periodic “Works in Progress” webinars about what it and its research library partners are accomplishing.  Several of them focus on topics of interest to special collections librarians and archivists.  For example, recent webinars have discussed transcription and crowdsourcing at the National Archives and Records Administration’s History Hub and the Smithsonian’s Transcription Center; linked open data for digitized special collections; archival records in MARC; OPenn, a website that hosts open data about cultural heritage materials from Philadelphia-based institutions; and the New York Public Library’s future plans for its audio and moving image research collections.  Click here to watch recorded versions of the webinars.
