Wright Brothers Newspapers Online at Wright State University

July 16, 2015 by J. Johnson

Did you know that before the Wright Brothers built bicycles and planes they operated a printing business that published local newspapers?

Focusing mainly on the Dayton area, over 150 issues of these local papers are now available to search and read online, thanks to a donation to the Wright State University Communication Department from the Greenwood Family and the work of the Special Collections and Archives department. This will add to the sizeable Wright collection already housed by Special Collections, and it will also be added to Dayton Metro Library’s online local history collection Dayton Remembers, where it will reach an even wider audience.

Today, you can find the collection in CORE Scholar, and more info about the project here, here, and here, from Wright State University itself.
