Start the new year by attending an OLC webinar!

The Subject and Special Collections Division of OLC is sponsoring two webinars of interest to special collections library staff. On February 11 from 2 – 3 pm, Akron-Summit County Public Library cataloger, Erin Valentine, will present The Friendly Cataloger: How You Can Help Your Cataloger Help You. Learn how to work with your cataloger to provide the best access to your collections, and gain a better understanding of Encoded Archival Description, MARC records, and authority control.

On February 19 from 2 – 3 pm, join Subject and Special Collections Division member Betsy Butler for Pack Your Bag for Camp Edit: Learn How to Select, Annotate, Transcribe, and Publish Historical Documents.  Learn methods for selecting and preparing historical documents for publication, including editing, selection and transcription.
